FOCUS AND SCOPE

Abhaya Nursing Journal aims to be a platform for high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based research in the field of Nursing. The journal focuses on efforts to improve health equity, increase access to care, and develop best practices to improve the health and well-being of diverse populations. Key areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Medical-Surgical Nursing
Research related to the care of patients with acute and chronic conditions, including innovative nursing interventions, pain management, and improving patient safety in the medical-surgical setting. Focus on evidence-based practice to improve clinical outcomes and patient quality of life.

Maternity and Midwifery Nursing
Development of nursing and midwifery practices to support maternal and neonatal health, including prenatal, labor, postpartum, and neonatal care. Emphasis on evidence-based interventions, reproductive health promotion, and culturally sensitive care.

Pediatric Nursing
Review of innovative pediatric nursing practices to support child development, management of acute and chronic illness in children, and the role of the family in the care of children. Focus on strategies that support children’s physical, emotional, and psychosocial health.

Community and Family Nursing
Community-based interventions that emphasize health promotion, disease prevention, and strengthening the capacity of the family as the unit of care. Focus on collaboration with community organizations, health advocacy, and community-centered approaches.

Management Nursing
Leadership and management strategies in health care, including health policy development, quality management, and interprofessional collaboration. Highlights the role of the nurse manager in improving service efficiency and health outcomes.

Psychiatric Nursing
Mental health care for individuals, families, and communities, with a focus on therapeutic interventions, relapse prevention, and strengthening social support. Includes care for mental health disorders, substance abuse, and emotional well-being.

Emergency Nursing
Nursing management in critical and emergency situations, including medical emergencies and disasters. Research on strengthening rapid response capacity, triage, and interprofessional collaboration in emergency settings.

Anesthesia Nursing
The practice of perioperative and anesthesia nursing, including monitoring patients during surgical procedures, pain management, and patient safety. Focuses on innovation and evidence-based practice to improve surgical outcomes and patient recovery.

General Nursing
General topics in nursing that encompass nursing theory, practice, education, and policy. Includes an interdisciplinary approach to improving standards of care and supporting the development of the nursing profession at large.
